Academic Search Premier Provides full text for 3,200+ scholarly publications covering academic areas of study including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies. Consider restricting to scholarly peer-reviewed journals.
AccessMedicine Includes medical textbooks, including the Lange series and Harrison's (updated daily), drug database, differential diagnosis generator, practice guidelines, patient education, USMLE practice test, and PDA downloads.
Alt-Health Watch Alt HealthWatch focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. This database provides partial full text for articles from more than 140 international and often peer-reviewed reports, proceedings as well as association and consumer newsletters. Includes pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts.

C Database Description
CINAHL Full Text (Ebscohost)
 Provides access to virtually all English language nursing journals, publications from the American Nurses' Association and the National League of Nursing, and primary journals from 13 allied health disciplines. UH Manoa provides two platforms for searching CINAHL.
Pre-CINAHL (EbscoHost) A companion database to CINAHL, Pre-CINAHL contains new journal articles with limited bibliographic information (no subject searching) that have not yet been indexed in CINAHL. This enables users to gain access to article citations that otherwise would not be available. Once the bibliographic records are complete, they are added to the CINAHL database and removed from Pre-CINAHL.
Cochrane Library Electronic publication designed to supply high quality evidence to inform people providing and receiving care, and those responsible for research, teaching, funding and administration at all levels.
Crisp Database (Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects) This database is being discontinued effective 11/1/09 and replaced by NIH RePORTER.

ERIC (EbscoHost)		 The ERIC (Educational Resource Information Center), is a national information system supported by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Library of Education, and the Office of Educational Research and Improvement. It provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC also provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1000 educational and education-related journals.
ebrary ebrary provides online access to thousands of books in all disciplines including science, medicine, allied health, and social & behavioral sciences.  A free, special reader software from ebrary will need to be downloaded to access the books.
eMedicine Includes thousands of peer-reviewed, disease specific articles. Over 400 new review articles are published monthly. Has a differential diagnosis generator, clinical image gallery, and more.

MEDLINE (OVID)		 Produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, the MEDLINE database is widely recognized as the premier source for citations and abstracts of biomedical literature. University of Hawaii at Manoa provides three platforms for searching Medline.
MEDLINE (ISI Web of Knowledge) Same MEDLINE data as above, but with additional tools: you can analyze your results to see the most published author on a topic or the journal with the most articles on a topic.
MedlinePlus Provides authoritative information collected by the National Library of Medicine on 500 plus health topics, medical encyclopedia, drug information, interactive patient tutorials, videos on surgical procedures, preformulated MEDLINE searches, and the latest news.

N Database Description
National Guidelines Clearinghouse A comprehensive database of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents developed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Native Hawaiian Health Database A comprehensive database covering all aspects of Native Hawaiian health. Priority is given to providing access to recently published works, but older materials will be added to the database as time permits. The database includes bibliographic references for: audiovisual materials books, book chapters, journal articles, conference proceedings, dissertations, government documents, program descriptions, and reports.
Natural Standard Database Provides evidence-based information about complementary and alternative therapies. A grading scale is used to indicate the level of scientific evidence available for a given therapy or indication. Written in varying reading levels to accommodate professionals and consumers in making informed therapeutic decisions.
NIH RePORTER (Research Portfolio Online Reporting Tool) This database replaces the CRISP database effective 9/1/09 and is the RePORT Expenditures and Results (RePORTER) module from NIH. Search Hawaii to see all currently funded NIH projects relating to Hawaii.

Sociological Abstracts Sociological Abstracts is an index with abstracts to the literature of sociology from 2,700 journals and other serials, books, dissertations, and conference papers published worldwide.
