Writing

From the Summer Writing Institute 2003

By Bernice PooleBridge house at Liliuokalani Gardens

Writing is a form of expression
Just like art and music
It can create dance and confusion
Writing can become a utensil of speech
A spoonful of creamy words
A knife to serate your skin
Writing can be like any sport
Instead of a ball or racket
The pen needs to swing or kick
At times held still to see.

Can anyone really teach writing?

The writing project helped us listen, watch and do–these will help us see more clearly so we can help others to learn.
