Did you know?
Indonesian/Malay –the national language of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore – is spoken by almost 250 million people.

The study of Indonesian (bahasa Indonesia) has two major objectives. One is to equip students with appropriate knowledge and skills to communicate effectively in standard Indonesian/Malay, and to be able to read critically a wide range of sources in these languages. The other is to develop through language study a sympathetic understanding of the complex and diverse cultures of the Malay world: Indonesia, Malaysia, East Timor, Brunei and Singapore.
