Putting Plans into Action: The UH Strategic Plan for Information Technology and the ITS 2001-2 Action Plan by David Lassner In July 2000 the UH Board of Regents adopted a new Strategic Plan for Information Technology (www.hawaii.edu/spit). While the execution of the plan has not been funded in these difficult economic times, the plan still serves as the blueprint for moving forward within ITS. Much of what we do on a daily basis consists of ongoing support and operations. But we also focus on accomplishing as much of the plan as possible given the current resource limitations. This year ITS is pleased to share our more visible goals and objectives in a format mapped against the Strategic Plan for IT. These are available at www.hawaii.edu/spit/its2002. The target dates represent our best estimate of the quarter in which each goal will be accomplished. Contact information is also available for more information about each project. This is the first year in which ITS has taken the time to publicly communicate our internal work plan to our customers. Let us know what you think!
