The Hawaii English Language Program (HELP) has a 3-week Intensive Academic Preparation Program designed to accelerate your Academic English and College Study skills to cope with the demands of the UH classes that you will soon be taking.
New Intensive Courses in English (NICE) equips speakers of other languages with the language and cultural skills necessary for success in academic, professional, and social contexts. NICE offers several excellent English courses throughout the year, in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
As of May 21, 2013, all entries to US by air or sea will be recorded electronically, and no paper I-94 Arrival/Departure card will be issued. Some entries at select ports may have already experienced this change in procedure as of April 30, 2013.
To students entering US after May 21: Your entry will be recorded electronically. To verify lawful status for government applications (i.e., Social Security Number, state ID), you may print out a paper I-94 from this website: http://cbp.gov/i94
To students who still have I-94 in passport: Keep this I-94 as a way of certifying lawful status while in the US. Your next entry will be recorded electronically. After that, to verify lawful status for government applications (i.e., Social Security Number, state ID), you may print out a paper I-94 from this website: http://cbp.gov/i94
For more information on the I-94 process, refer to this website: http://cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/i-94_instructions/
