Description & Benefits:
Setup the data storage and compute platform to support the EPSCoR research activities in year one.

Milestones:

  • Set-up initial platform with UH Agave Tenant (Dependent on AGAVE Tenant) – July 2016
  • Owncloud production instance set-up – July 2016
  • Strategic Planning with NSF – August 2016
  • Initial EPSCOR users on Agave Tenant for basic file transfer and system set-up – August 2016
  • Have minimal set of metadata, ontologies, and controlled vocabulary – October 2016
  • Have usable storage solution in place for researcher data that integrates metadata and some basic search – December 2016
  • Train researcher on using ʻIke Wai storage – January 2017
  • USGS on-boarded to UH HPC – February 2017
  • Candidate interviews for ʻIke Wai Data Manager Position – March 2017 
  • Integrate legacy digital chemistry data – March 2017
  • ʻIke Wai Data Manager hired – April 2017
  • ʻIke ToGo v1.0 app deployed – May 2017
  • Integrate CKAN server for serving data to community – June 2017
