Oracle JInitiator 1.3.1.22 Download Page
This page contains instructions to download and install the Oracle JInitiator version 1.3.1.22 (necessary for Banner 7). You need to be logged into your computer using an account with administrator access to be able to install the JInitiator.
- Quit all open web browsers.
- Click on this link to begin the download: Oracle JInitiator 1.3.1.22
- Save the file to your desktop:
- Internet Explorer: The "File Download" window will appear. Click on the Save button. The "Save As" window will appear. Click on the down arrow to the right of the "Save in" option (top of the window) and click on Desktop. The "Save in" option should now say "Desktop". Click on the Save button. The jinitiator will now be downloaded and saved to your desktop.
- Firefox and Netscape: A download window will appear. Select "Save to disk" and click on the OK button. The "Save As" window will appear. Click on the down arrow to the right of the "Save in" option (top of the window) and click on Desktop. The "Save in" option should now say "Desktop". Click on the Save button. The jinitiator will now be downloaded and saved to your desktop.
- On your desktop should be a file named jinit13122.exe. Double click on this file to start the install.
- Click Next.
- The Oracle JInitiator will now be installed on your computer. When the install is finished, click OK.
- Restart your computer.

Other browsers may also work, but have not been thoroughly tested.
ITS no longer fully supports Windows 98. We will assist Windows 98 users on a "best-effort" basis, but will not reinstall the Windows 98 operating system.
Other minimum system requirements for Oracle JInitiator are:
Pentium 166 MHz or better processor
70 MB free hard disk space before installing
32-48 MB system RAM minimum for running Oracle Forms applications
