Taiko and dance collaborations, live sound, and multi-cultural influences converge in this exciting program. Guest artist Kenny Endo is a leading spirit in contemporary taiko. He is Artistic Director of Taiko Center of the Pacific, a school of traditional Japanese drumming in Honolulu, and will be featured in this innovative program as music director, composer and performer.

SFCATaiko Drum and Dance is supported in part by the Hawai`i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts through appropriations from the Hawai`i State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, and a grant from the Mayor's Office on Culture and the Arts, the University of Hawai`i Diversity and Equity Initiative and the University of Hawai`i Japan Studies Endowment.
