The University of Hawai#i at M~noa’s Department of Theatre & Dance is pleased to announce the return of Jim Gamble and his world-famous puppets to the Kennedy Theatre mainstage on January 8^th at 7:00 p.m. In this one-time performance of "Jim Gamble and his Puppets present Circus!" calliope and circus band music provide a colorful musical backdrop for string and rod puppets performing circus feats on an open stage. Skillfully manipulated by master puppeteer Jim Gamble, this production has toured Korea and Japan and was featured at "Open House at the Hollywood Bowl." It is perfect for families with children ages three and older. Gamble’s productions have been a Honolulu favorite for almost thirty years, entertaining Hawai‘i’s keiki - generation after generation.

With over 40 years of experience performing with puppets, Gamble’s fascinating productions and beautifully crafted marionettes have galvanized his acclaim in California, across the nation, and around the world. Each year, Gamble performs dozens of programs from Seattle to New York, Honolulu to Los Angeles. Past productions have traveled outside the United States to countries including Korea, England, the Middle East and Japan.

Tickets go on sale at the Kennedy Theatre Box Office, outlets, and on the internet on January 3. Prices are $10 regular; $9 seniors, military, UH Faculty/staff; $8 Children, Non-UHM students; and $3 for UHM students with validated UHM Fall 2004 or Spring 2005 I.D.
