*1998-1999A World Premiere Written and Directed by Chris Millado
[Mainstage]

1904, The Louisiana Purchase Exposition, and all the promise of a new era. Bontoc people from the Philippines along with native peoples from around the world are brought to St. Louis, Missouri, as human display. Indigenous storytellers and colonial mythmakers reenact their versions of what happened at that now famous World's Fair through ritual, legend, and pseudo-scientific narratives. A challenging, innovative new work by guest artist Chris Millado that helps us move forward to the twenty-first century by looking back to the beginning of the twentieth.
