A world premiere about women, violence, and healing. Susanna, named for the Biblical heroine, is a victim who finds help and healing at a half-way house in the company of some extraordinary women. Serious, poignant and sometimes comical, with integrated dance sequences, the play explores the misshapen cultural images and messages which lead to women's vulnerability, the effects of abuse and violence, and the possibility of collective and individual recovery.
