Established and sponsored by the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at University of Hawaii, this program is directed by Dr. Sak-Humphry. LOMAP—The Lower Mekong Archaeological Project, co-directed by Dr. Miriam Stark (UH) and Professor Chuch Phoeurn (Royal University of Fine Arts, in Phnom-Penh, Cambodia) provides academic and field training opportunities for students and professionals. This project goes hand in hand with other international multi-disciplinary research interests in archeology, cultural anthropology, medical anthropology, geography, art history, historic preservation, Khmer linguistics, and environmental Studies.

Exchange Programs —A variety of exchange programs, internships, and other study-abroad opportunities are open to students who may wish to design their own programs. These include consultations with experts in their field or with faculty at the student's own institution, with other institutions, or under the UH study-abroad program. Under such programs the student studies at a university in Cambodia, paying tuition and fees, but receives academic credit from the UH.
