Entry-Level Graduate Athletic Training Education Program

The Entry-Level Graduate Athletic Training Education Program (EL-GATEP) mission is to prepare graduate students to become Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) and scholarly practitioners in the athletic training profession.  For more information about the Athletic Training Profession, visit the NATA website for students.  Students who want to become certified athletic trainers must earn a degree from an accredited athletic training curriculum program and pass a national Board of Certification exam (BOC).

The EL-GATEP at the University of Hawaii has been accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) since 2005 with

Continuing CAATE Accreditation until 2019-2020.
