Hawaii Athletic Training Student Society (HATS)
Professional Development and Involvement
HATS Mission - Advancement and encouragement of the athletic training profession in all its phases.
- HATS aims to build relationships and support between all levels of those involved in the profession including entry-level and post-professional athletic training students, PhD students, faculty, and ACI’s.
- This society also works to serve the interests of the members in all competencies of athletic training.
- Any current or former university student within the state of Hawaii is eligible for membership.

Recent Activities - Models and Evaluators for the HOSA Annual Sports Medicine Competition for high school students

Funds raised are primarily used to assist members of the club to get to conferences, which can be costly
Networking Opportunities - Involvement in HATS is a great opportunity to network and socialize with others who are involved in the profession.
- We would like to extend this invitation to everyone involved in athletic training on campus as well as undergraduates who may want to apply to the program, and those who are not on campus (off-campus ACI's)
Professional Development and Involvement - Graduate students are strongly encouraged to join the various professional groups that represent athletic trainers at the local, regional, and national level.
- These organizations provide many benefits including scholarships, informational service, educational symposiums, scholarly journals, and job placement services.
