What is the CKS Rotating Chair Endowment?

In an effort to build on its long-term partnership with the Center for Korean Studies, The Korea Foundation gave a visionary $1,000,000 gift to the Center. The gift requires an equivalent match of $1,000,000.

The $2,000,000 total will be placed in an endowment, with interest used to provide a Korean studies faculty chair position to be rotated among disciplines, laying a strong foundation for enhancing an already recognized outstanding Center.

The Center is currently working to raise $1,000,000 to match the Korea Foundation’s gift. We can embrace the full potential of the Korea Foundation’s investment in the Center for Korean Studies only if we have your support.
