Fire Recovery Fund Donations to ULSAA

Aloha, Graduates and Friends. This is a list of donors to our University Laboratory School Alumni Association fire recovery fund and a list of purchases made.

At the annual alumni dinner on Saturday, July 11, 2009, it was voted that we move the remaining balance of $58,230.78 to the general ULSAA fund.

Up to that point, we had spent $76,936.24 of the $135,163.42 raised on the five programs affected by the fire -- athletics, drama, Hawaiian culture, choir, and the strings program. By moving the remaining balance to the general fund, we can still help to fund those five programs, but we can also use the money to fund projects that will be of direct and immediate benefit for Lab School students in any program.

As President Danny Alvarez '88 and I mentioned Saturday 7/11/09, however, we do still have complete records of all fire fund donations, and even though this movement of the remaining balance to the general fund was unanimously approved, if you made a donation to the fire fund with the intention that your money would be spent only on those five programs, please get in touch with me and we can work out a prorated refund based on the remaining balance.

Here is a list of what ULSAA purchased through 07/09:
