A 1988 Scrapbook

Two of Honolulu's finest, officers Toguchi and Ujimori, attend the Class of '88 10th reunion to protect the food from getting cold and to serve up the beverages before they get warm. Mr. Arakaki stands by, ready to render CPR or the Heimlich maneuver as needed. Mr. Alvarez actually prepares to demonstrate the Heim--well, a maneuver of some kind. Ms. Yeung insists that she has no gray hair and wants this photo to prove it.

Ms. Kurtz and Mr. Quitan advise Ms. DeMello, consummate photographer, to include only the legs of two people in the lower part of this 10th reunion picture "so we can try to guess who they are." Officer Toguchi requests that her entire body be included in the photo. Ms. Calvert prays for a good picture, period.

Mr. Rodgers explains that the baby playpen not only is good for the baby, but can also be used to cushion Mr. Alvarez's fall should he lean too far backward.
