Since each individual student's situation is different, it is up to you to determine whether you are eligible to take a bar examination in the U.S. Please contact the state bar association of the state where you want to take the exam. Generally, the Hawaii State Bar Examination requires that you have a J.D. degree to be eligible to take the exam. The exception to this is if applicants are from a common law country where English is the language of instruction and practice and have practiced law in that jurisdiction for five out of the six years preceding their application.
