Visiting the Campus
Applicants are encouraged to visit the School of Law and to attend classes. Please contact the school onoa@hawaii.edu) at least one week prior to the intended visit. Visits are available from late September to mid-November and from early February to mid-April.
The William S. Richardson School of Law is located in Honolulu less than 3 miles away from Waikiki; and approximately 9 miles from Honolulu International Airport. The law school is located above the parking structure.
DIRECTIONS:
From Waikīkī to University of Hawai`i at Mānoa (Parking Structure)
- Get onto Ala Wai Blvd.
- Turn right onto McCully St.
- Turn right onto Kapi`olani Blvd.
- Turn left onto University Ave.
- Turn right onto Dole St.
- Bear right onto Lower Campus Rd.
From Honolulu International Airport to UH Mānoa (Parking Structure)
By Highway:
- Head south-east on Nimitz Hwy.
- Turn left onto Richards St.
- Turn right onto Halekauwila St.
- Turn left onto Mililani St.
- Turn right onto South King St.
- Turn left onto University Ave.
- Turn right onto Dole St.
- Bear right onto Lower Campus Rd.
Through H1 Freeway:
- Take Nimitz Hwy.
- Turn left onto Pu`uloa Rd.
- Bear right onto H1 East Hwy.
- Exit University Ave.
- Turn right onto Dole St.
- Bear right onto Lower Campus Rd.
TRANSPORTATION:
Taxi Cab: Taxi fare to UHM is about $25.00, excluding baggage charges and the customary tip of 10 to 15 percent.
Hawaii Super Transit: The Hawaii Super Transit will pick you up at the airport and take you to the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus or to your hotel. The cost is $15.00 one way. To make a reservation, call toll free 1-877-24-SUPER or (808) 841-2928.
Public Bus http://www.thebus.org : Only carry on luggage is allowed on city buses. Bus stops are located on the second floor of the airport. A one-way fare is $2.00 (in exact change).
