The laptops have wireless network access, and have web browsers, as well as Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. The laptops use the Windows XP operating system. Headphones and CD/DVD drives are available upon request. Users can print from the laptops, through the library's GoPrint station.
Laptop users should bring a floppy diskette or USB data storage device on which to save their work. Special security software reverses all changes to the hard disk when the computer is restarted, erasing any files saved on the laptop.

At this time, personally-owned laptop computers cannot be used with the library's wireless network access system.
