“Aloha LIS students, faculty & friends!

Please join the Hawaiian-Pacific Chapter of Special Libraries Association for a “mentoring mixer” on Friday, Sept. 7, to kick off the Fall semester. Come meet the local SLA chapter and catch up with friends and colleagues in a beautiful oceanfront setting, hosted by longtime SLA member & hostess extraordinaire Lois Kiehl Cain!

Here are the particulars:

WHEN: Friday, Sept. 7, from 5:30-9pm

WHERE: Lois’s condo, located at 2987 Kalakaua Ave #606 on the Diamond Head side of Kapiolani Park. Enter through the front gate, proceed to the central courtyard and take the elevator or stairs to the 6th floor; turn  left toward the ocean and you can’t miss it! Street parking only so plan accordingly–and the metered parking is free after 6pm.

WHAT TO BRING: Just yourselves–food and drink will be provided by the Chapter so come and enjoy!

RSVP: We’d like to know how many to expect, so please RSVP by emailing or phoning in your response–acceptances only–to Carol Hasegawa (carolhas@hawaii.edu or 956-2524) by 4pm Wednesday, Sept. 5. This was a very popular event last year so you won’t want to miss this one!
