January 28, 2008 on 11:27 am | In Events |

The LIS Web Team is proud to announce the Spring 2008 HTML Workshops!  These workshops are 1 1/2 hour hands-on information sessions designed to help you learn how to create a webpage from scratch.  You will learn the basics of HTML and CSS - two web design computer languages - as well as tips and tricks to create a successful website.  For those of you in the LIS 610 course, this is the perfect class to help with your ePortfolio assignment!

There are four sessions:

Feb. 2: Intro to FTP and UNIX

Feb 9: HTML Basics

Feb 16: CSS Basics

Feb 23: Advanced CSS + wrap-up

You may choose to attend all or any you wish.  The place is Hamilton Library (UH Manoa campus) Room 113.  Time: 11:45am - 1:15pm.  Cost of attendance is $1 (covers materials, etc).

Please RSVP to lisweb [at] hawaii [dot] edu by THURSDAY January 31st if you wish to attend.

Priority is given to current LIS students, as the seating is limited in the room.  However, if you can bring your own laptop, you can definitely come :)  There is UH wireless in the room (though in a pinch you don’t need the live Internet).

Thanks!! We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
