Brown Bag: Dean Miles Jackson on Hawaii’s African American History

LIS Dean Emeritus Miles Jackson will give a public brownbag talk on Wednesday, October 22nd, about his upcoming documentary film on the history of Hawaii’s African Americans. Dr. Jackson has published extensively on the subject, including the books And They Came: A Brief History of Blacks in Hawaii, and They Followed the Trade Winds: African Americans in Hawaii. We hope you can join us for this talk about his experience as a researcher and co-producer from 11-12:30 PM in Room 319 of Bilger Hall at UH Manoa.
