Dual Degrees: History
MLISc / History MA
(Primary degree: History): Of the 30 credits required for this MA, LIS counts 9 credits of any three 600-level history courses or 700-level history seminars toward the MLISc. Thus only 33 LIS credits for the MLISc are needed instead of 42, for a total of 63 credits for both degrees.
(Primary degree: MLISc): Of the 42 credits required for the MLISc, the History Department accepts 9 credits from the following so the MA requires only 21 History credits:
- LIS 612 - History of Books & Libraries
- LIS 618 - Government Documents
- LIS 662 - Information Sources & Systems in the Social Sciences
- LIS 687 - Information Sources for Hawaiian Studies
- LIS 705 - Asian Research Materials & Methods
- LIS 618 - Government Documents
