By becoming a member, which is absolutely free, you can become a LIS webmaster. There are so many opportunities for you to gain experience in:

Becoming an instructional designer, teaching LIS students what you've learned about HTML, web development, online searching, and evaluating online resources.

Becoming a webmaster of the WebTeam site, or any of the other web sites associated with the program such as ASIS&T, SLA, ALA-SC, and LIS.

Networking with other students and professionals in Information Technology.

Putting your experience as a WebTeam member or webmaster on your resume and e-portfolio!

Becoming a WebTeam member is free and easy!

Simply send an email to the WebTeam at LIS-WEB@lists.hawaii.edu to express your interest and one of us will respond to your inquiry. You will be placed on our listserv and notified of our next meeting.

If you would like to ask current team members about their experiences and new-found opportunities, send an email to LIS-WEB@lists.hawaii.edu and the WebTeam can offer their insights. Or come and talk to any one of us. New students will have met some of the members of the WebTeam at orientation.
