The Web Team teaches a variety of workshops each semester designed to help LIS students with the technology needed to complete projects for their LIS classes:
The HTML workshops are a series of 4 sessions that teach students how to build a webpage from scratch. The focus is on the "e-Portfolio," a website that functions to show off the student's work and web abilities. By the end of the sessions, students will have the skills to create a webapge and create a functional e-Portfolio for their LIS work and classes!
The PowerPoint workshops are offered when there are available teachers and a need from the students. Typically two are taught, Beginning and Advanced, each semester. These workshops are designed to help students learn the skills to make PowerPoint presentations for their LIS classes.
Materials: You can view and download previous semesters' presentations and handouts used in the workshops in the archives for those sessions (see left menu). The presentations do not have notes; the handouts are mostly self-explanatory.
