The
Classics Division offers courses in ancient Greek and classical
Latin, which traditionally constitute the foundation of every
Classics program and which have as their aim to read and understand
classical literary texts in the original languages.
The students can also enhance their knowledge of the classical
world by taking a variety of culture courses offered in English
by this division and across the campus (e.g., Greek and Roman
mythology, Greek and Roman history, Greek and Roman art, etc.).
The
Classics Faculty stands committed to providing its students
with the best possible instruction in the classical languages
and to educating them about the significant influence of the
Greeks and Romans on present-day languages, literatures, and
civilization. |
