Au printemps, j'ai préparé mon article intitulé La «dérobade» autobiographique et le roman à clefs féminin après 1850 pour le colloque organisé par Andrea Del Lungo et Brigitte Louichon, auteurs de La Littérature en bas-bleus. Romancières sous la Restauration et la Monarchie de Juillet. Paris, Ed. Classiques Garnier, «Études romantiques et dix-neuvièmistes», à l'université Michel de Montaigne de Bordeaux en Aquitaine sur le thème de “La littérature en bas-bleus (1848-1870): Romancières sous la Deuxième République et le Second Empire” du 11 au 13 mai, 2011. Ma communication porte sur les romans à clefs de Daniel Stern (Marie d'Agoult), Nélida, Sand, Elle et lui, et Olga de Janina, Souvenirs d'une Cosaque, l'analyse au vitriol qu'en fait Barbey d'Aurevilly dans Les Bas-Bleus et la réponse « coup de cravache » à Barbey que Janina introduit dans la treizième édition de son roman.
Thèses
J'ai eu le plaisir d'être membre du comité de thèse de doctorat en anglais d'un de nos anciens étudiants qui a avait obtenu la maîtrise de français avec la mention « Très bien », Julian Bukalski, et de diriger la thèse de Honors Program d'une de nos spécialiste de français, Carrie Downing Larick, au printemps 2011.

Je continue à faire la revue des articles en italien et en français portant sur la biographie et l'autobiographie dans le magazine littéraire Studi Francesi, revues qui paraissent régulièrement dans le magazine littéraire Biography.

Quel tas de blagues is a reflexion on literature and on the teaching of literature. It starts with a reflexion on Rodolphe’s comment while he writes to Emma Bovary, continues with the modernity of Balzac in his novel, Les Employés,and ends on considerations concerning the teaching of literature hic et nunc.

Manoa is a “unique, award-winning Pacific literary journal of international writing that includes American and international fiction, poetry, artwork, and essays of current cultural and literary interest”.
Touchée par la déconstruction, Lettres françaises (October 2004). Lettres françaises is a monthly supplement of the notorious French newspaper, L’Humanité. This issue of Lettres françaises came out immediately following Jacques Derrida’s death. Invited writers were Cixous, Malabou, Steigler, Nancy, Adami, Bénézet, Berkman, Bourcier, Burattoni, Chaslin, Pignon-Ernest, Raynaud, Ristat, Vachez, and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak (who solicited my translation of her article on Derrida). Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak is a Professor of Cultural Studies at Columbia University (NY), a leading figure in Cultural Studies Criticism, and the English translator of Jacques Derrida’s De la Grammatologie. Spivak is “canonized” in the Norton Anthology of Literary Criticism.
