language and literature and topics of scholarly books and articles are

Markgraf , 1985 ff. and in MARQUIS' WHO'S WHO Among America's Teachers,
1998 ff., in GERMANISTIK, in THE YEAR'S WORK IN MODERN LANGUAGE STUDIES,
and other Reference Bibliographies.
There are 9 German scholarly books and monographs on German language,
German literary criticism, 18th century authors (Lavater / Nicolai '85,
Blanckenburg '67, Oberleitner '93),19th century dramatists (Wedekind,
Sternheim, Kaiser '72), Modern German writers(Anders, Bernhard, Böll,
Fichte, Frisch, Grass, Handke et al. '80) and studies on role play (Becker,
Bernhard, Handke, Weiss et al.'75).
There are 35 articles plus in reviewed presses, anthologies and conference
publications written in English or German dealing with topics on German
language, German studies, Intercultural topics, 12th century German
literature, Goethe and classical German authors, German classical drama,
German novel and genre theory, Romantic German authors, 19th century
German dramatists, Modern and contemporary German writers.
Travel grants and research stipends (outside the
UH Office of Research Administration) have been awarded by UH College
