Lyon Arboretum is a research unit of the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. The 193.5 acre botanical garden specializes in interpretive displays of tropical plants, and has extensive native Hawaiian, ethnobotanical and international collections. Research programs in the conservation of rare and endangered plants and our education programs complement the collections with the goal of providing a positive aesthetic and learning experience to encourage concern and active participation in the conservation of our island natural resources.
