Three University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa venues feature textile exhibits in conjunction with the Textile Society of America’s 11th Biennial Symposium in Honolulu in fall 2008.

  • The University of Hawaiʻi Art Gallery offers Writing with Thread: Traditional Textiles of Southwest Chinese Minorities Sept. 21–Nov. 30. Information at the Art Gallery exhibit schedule.
  • The College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources’ Historic
    Costume Collection
    , will display selected clothing at Miller Hall. Hours are 11 a.m.–1 p.m. weekdays, Sept. 20–30; 4:30–8 p.m. Sept. 24; 1–4 p.m., Sept. 28
  • Hamilton Library offers Ancient Customs, Ancient Stories: Lampung Ceremonial Textiles and Objects, at the Hamilton Library Bridge Gallery, daily during library hours through Oct. 31.
