Good food, good spirits and good company set the tone for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa College of Engineering Centennial Homecoming Celebration on Oct. 7 at the Stan Sheriff Center.

More than 600 alumni and friends of the college gathered to enjoy culinary creations from 12 well-known local chefs, including D.K. Kodama, Hiroshi Fukui and Donato Loperfido.

Guests were also treated to a comical rendition of Tina Turner’s Proud Mary performed by Mānoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw, who donned Turner’s trademark mane. She was accompanied in good fun by UH President David McClain, Engineering Dean Peter Crouch, Warrior Head Football Coach Greg McMackin and the UH Foundation Vice President of Development Kathy Nelson.
