Fall enrollment for the University of Hawaiʻi System reached an all-time high in 2008. Official fall enrollment for UH’s 10 campuses stands at 53,526.

Opening enrollment for 2008–09 was 5 percent higher than the previous fall.

Leeward Community College reported the largest numerical gain, at 843 students.

UH West Oʻahu had the highest percentage growth at nearly 20 percent.
