Football donations settle contract and support scholarships

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa reached resolution on contract issues that lingered when former Football Coach June Jones left for Southern Methodist University six months before his UH contract expired.

The mediated settlement was accompanied by two donations totaling $200,010. Read the news release.

In a separate development, former insurance underwriter and lifelong UH football fan James Bolte, of Nevada, established a donation valued at nearly $2.2 million to support student scholarships and facility improvements for Rainbow Warrior football.
