UH alumni attend Northwestern University lūʻau

Eight alumni and guests of the UHAA–Greater Midwest chapter recently enjoyed delicious Hawaiian food and tradition, along with contemporary Hawaiian music from the Oakton Community College Na Mele Aloha musical group.

Co-presidents Jessa Baker and Blair Limm invited the alumni group to the Northwestern University Hawaiʻi Club 23rd Annual Lūʻau in Evanston, Ill., in May.

UHAA–East helps with Hawaiian Picnic in Central Park

The UHAA–East chapter collaborated with several groups to host the annual Hawaiian Picnic in Central Park with Halawai (Hawaiian young professionals group) on June 7. The potluck featured Hawaiian entertainment, singing and hula.

On June 11, the chapter welcomed Clark Llewellyn, dean of the UH Mānoa School of Architecture, and Dave Evans, Kapiʻolani Community College professor of hospitality and tourism education and president of the UHAA Travel Industry Management Inc. chapter.

Join UHAA’s San Francisco Bay Area on Facebook

The UHAA–San Francisco Bay Area chapter created a Facebook group, University of Hawaiʻi Alumni Association–Northern California, to enable UH alumni living in the area to contact each other.
