UHAA–Japan hosted a reception featuring UH Mānoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw at Oakwood Premier Tokyo Midtown in May.

The chapter also celebrated its second anniversary with 50 alumni from all over Japan and guests from Hawaiʻi.

Hisatsugu Toyoda, one of the eldest members of the UHAA–Japan chapter, was an East-West Center scholar in 1948. He has attended the past three Japan chapter events and looks forward to the next.
