Bay Area alumni gather in San Francisco

University of Hawaiʻi alumni and friends in San Francisco/Bay Area held an alumni reception at La Mar Cebicheria on Sept. 14.
More than 70 people turned out for the event, thanks in large part to the UHAA–San Francisco/Bay Area chapter’s new Facebook page.
Sportscaster Larry A. Beil ’83 emceed the event, and
Kalae Miles provided the evening’s entertainment. Special guests included UH Mānoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw; Athletics Director Jim Donovan ’83, ’96; Shidler College of Business Dean Vance Roley; and College of Engineering Dean Peter Crouch.
A big mahalo to the Hawaiʻi Chamber of Commerce–Northern California, chamber Director Daryl Higashi ’74, Michael Helms ’94 and Kurt Osaki ’88.
