I see the comradery of the team as well as the people of Hawaii who got involve to help them acheive their goal.

I love seeing how people can still work together.

By: Darlene Martin Sun, 11 Oct 2009 16:18:05 +0000 Congratulations! It is wonderful to see such impressive and creative students coming out of the Hawaii Community Colleges. As a former Counselor/Instructor at Leeward Community College and a graduate of the University System, I am proud to see such a wonderful program receive the recognition nationwide. I have fond memories of participating in one of the final exams for the culinary program at LCC. Keep up the good work.

By: Laura Vines (Sato) Thu, 08 Oct 2009 20:17:11 +0000 Congratulations! It is really great to see one of our teams make it! I was fortunate to watch one of our earlier teams compete at the western regionals while attending the ACF conference and it is a huge accomplishment to win the nationals.
Congratulations also to Conrad, Alan and Alan Wong for representing Hawaii at the White House. It sounds like a wonderful representation of our Hawaiian picnic cuisine!

KCC culinary program is excellent and this is just one accomplishment that validates it.

By: Roger Togchi Thu, 08 Oct 2009 14:27:58 +0000 Congratulations! Having graduated from the program over 30 years ago it is wonderful to read about what the students accomplished.

By: Harlan Kobayashi Wed, 07 Oct 2009 23:51:03 +0000 I enjoyed reading the culinary award to Kapiolani CC as I am a fan of the food network “Iron Chef”. I was impressed that they used as many local products as possible. I noticed many restaurants here in LA are using daikon; a recent outing at a Peruvian restaurant. Congratulations and another championship next year!
