Athletics tickled pink to offer auction

Just in time for Christmas, the pink jerseys and balls used in the Oct. 23, 2009 University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Wahine volleyball game are being offered for sale in an online auction.

Proceeds will benefit the Athletics Department, women’s volleyball program and American Cancer Society.

The items, which include 18 jerseys with players’ numbers and four autographed balls, were used by in the BYU-Hawaiʻi game. The Wahine joined other college and professional athletics programs who donned pink to promote awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The auction closes at 6 p.m. HST Dec. 20.
