UH alumni in the Bay Area held several Road Warrior gatherings to charge fans up for the Nov. 21, 2009 San Jose State football game.

Kickoff parties were held at Hukilau plate lunch restaurants in San Francisco on Thursday and San Jose on Friday.

Alumni celebrated game day at a tailgate at Spartan Stadium before cheering the Warriors to a 17–10 victory in an overtime thriller.

All events were co-sponsored by the Hawaiʻi Chamber of Commerce of Northern California, the UH Alumni Association, Rainbowtique and Nā Koa Football Club.
