As a ’89 BA (Music) alumni, it is great that these improvements have been made. I look forward to attending a concert at the new Orvis. I have some great memories of Orvis and the entire Music department. Now, whole new generations will have their chance with even better resources.

What “music and sound” are you referring to as not working? The video web extra appears to be working just fine… Do you have your speakers on? Volume up? Can anyone else confirm that they are having trouble viewing our web extra?

I agree with the previous comment. It’s unfortunate because this is a great message. One of my fondest memories is sitting in the outdoor space with picnic basket and friends, listening to the gamelan performance. My last weeks in Hawaii were spent at a piano camp (for want of a better word) where I met some great teachers and musicians from Julliard and other music schools. I also met people from around the world as well as young musicians from home. It started me on a very different path in my life and always is a wonderful memory.

Great update for alumni members. The music and sound is not
working so it undermines the message of the capital
commitment due to poor sound.
