To encourage more students to complete academic degrees, the University of Hawaiʻi has instituted automatic admission and reverse transfer procedures.

Beginning this spring, students graduating from any of the university’s seven community colleges will be notified that that they are eligible for automatic admission to UH Mānoa, Hilo or West Oʻahu. Under automatic admission, the application fee is waived, priority registration provided and student transcripts analyzed to help identify likely majors.

Reverse transfer allows community college students who transfer to a UH four-year campus before completing their associate’s degrees to obtain those credentials while progressing toward their bachelor’s degrees.
