Diet for a Small Planet author to speak

Frances Moore Lappé, founder of the Small Planet Institute and author of Diet for a Small Planet, is the UH Mānoa Distinguished Lecturer for fall 2010.
She will give a public lecture, “Facts and Myths of World Hunger: The Politics of Scarcity,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Architecture Auditorium on the Mānoa campus.

The next day, Lappé will address a noon brownbag lunch at Kuykendall Auditorium on “The Politics of Scarcity: Challenging Big Food/Cheap Food.”
She is the author of 18 books, most recently Getting a Grip 2: Clarity, Creativity and Courage for the World We Really Want.
