Tutu De Lima at Hilo library fundraiser

Comedian Frank De Lima headlines a fundraiser for the Edwin H. Mookini Library at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo on Sunday, March 20, 2011.

Appearing in his “Tutu,” persona, De Lima will offer a unique and humorous perspective on libraries, books and librarians.

The Tea with Tutu event is scheduled noon–3 p.m. in the UH Hilo Campus Center Dining Room. Light refreshments will be served, and there will door prizes, including an iPad and books autographed by the authors.

Proceeds will support library services and collections for the students and faculty of UH Hilo and Hawaiʻi Community College, as well as the Big Island community.

Advance tickets are $50. Preferred tables of six are available in advance for $300. Contact Michelle Sylvester or call (808) 974-7759 by March 16 to ensure availability and advance prices. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
