Vulcan men host soccer clinic for kids

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo men’s soccer program hosts a Keiki Soccer Training Session on Saturday, April 23, 2011, on the UH Hilo Soccer Field.

The free clinic for children ages 5–12 begins with an 8:30 a.m. check-in followed by a two-hour session beginning at 9 a.m. The clinic includes include core strength training, dynamic warm-up, FIFA 11 exercises and possession soccer drills

The clinic is directed by Hilo Vulcan Men’s Soccer Coach Bryan Green. Head coach since May 1, 2010, Green played for the Silicon Valley Ambassadors of the United States Professional Developmental League 1999 and continues to to play as a member of the Hilo Hurricanes. He was began as assistant coach at his alma mater Hilo High School in 2000.

Clinic participants must bring soccer shoes, soccer ball, soccer socks, shin guards, water and sunscreen.
