Rainbow baseball seeded 1 in WAC

After finishing the regular season with its first league title since 1992, the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa baseball team enters the 2011 Western Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed.

The Rainbows have a first-round bye in the double-elimination tournament, and then take on the lowest advancing seed on Thursday, May 26, at 7 p.m. in Mesa, Ariz., (4 p.m. Hawaiʻi time).

The Rainbows (32-23, 17-7) were named WAC co-regular season champions along with Fresno State. Hawaiʻi earned the No. 1 seed over the Bulldogs based on a tie-breaker determined by the WAC. Hawaiʻi is 39-28 all-time in WAC tournament play, and has won seven tournament titles.
