Name: Mālamalama is the university’s motto; the Hawaiian word literally means "the light of knowledge."
Mission: To enlighten readers about the ways people and programs on 10 UH campuses create and share knowledge with the people of Hawaiʻi and the world.
Audience: 170,000 UH alumni and donors. Tax-deductible voluntary subscriptions are accepted (suggested donation, $10) and e-mail notice subscriptions are available.
Schedule: Six times a year, January, March, May, July, September and November. All issues are available in full online; March and September issues are also distributed in print.
