Researchers at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine and Sierra Sciences have discovered a gene essential to keeping stem cells healthy.

The Institute for Biogenesis Research at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is one of five institutions selected to receive five-year Institutional Development Awards from the National Institute of Health in 2008.
