Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Biology

The new BS in Marine Biology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Natural Sciences is an interdisciplinary academic program that offers unique opportunities for hands on learning. Extensive field experiences are integrated with traditional classroom and laboratory courses. Students will work with world-renowned faculty and have access to state-of-the-art facilities.

Offered for the first time in the Fall of 2003, this degree offers the opportunity for undergraduate students to learn about marine species and how they interact with each other and their tropical and sub-tropical environments. Students will work with a wide range of organisms, including seabirds, marine mammals, sharks, fishes, invertebrates, algae, and micro-organisms.
