Center for Entrepreneurship
Entre Prep

The EntrePrep program is part of a national program developed and supported by the
Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership
at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, Missouri.

EntrePrep is a unique institute for high achieving, college bound,
creative high school juniors. The program is designed to provide
the fundamental skills of starting a business.
Participants in the program will include students interested in math,
science, the arts, and other diciplines who have the personal
and academic characteristics that make them likely future entrepreneurs.
EntrePrep students attend a residential Summer Institute between their
junior and senior year (at no charge to the student) in which they focus
on the development of skills, knowledge, and attitudes of entrepreneurship.
During their senior year, students will participate in
a non-paid 150-hour internship program with a start-up firm
and a series of educational seminars. The culminating academic
year experience will be a case study in which the student will
evaluate and make recommendations to improve the business.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded
a $1,000 scholarship for college or university tuition and the
designation as a Kauffman Foundation Center for
Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholar.

The class of 2003 graduated in June.
The program is not being offered at the current time.
